Anekaant: A Journal of Polysemic Thought
Anekaant: A Journal of Polysemic Thought is a refereed journal published annually by Balvant Parekh Centre for General Semantics and Other Human Sciences. The Centre is dedicated to the study of General Semantics and Human Sciences, but the contributions to the Journal need not be confined to these areas. We respect the polysemic nature of knowledge and welcome a multiplicity of views on different subjects. However, we appreciate fresh readings on General Semantics and allied areas. As the title suggests, Anekaant is committed to promoting diversity and plurality of perspectives across disciplines. The Journal is a forum for a lucid, open-ended and continuous dialogue among scholars, artists, scientists, social activists, writers, etc. Providing a platform for such a multi-directional, polysemic and polyphonic discourse is a gesture towards contributing constructively to the time-binding process which as Korzybski, the founder of General Semantics Thought rightly observed makes us human. Contributions should be in jargon free and simple English. Preference is given to studies on general semantics, analytical papers on matters of contemporary relevance, general articles on science, environment, art, music, poetry, etc. The Journal will also feature book reviews, poetry and short fiction in English and English translation.
